A Marketing Analysis of Forever Resorts (Warmbaths, Loskopdam and Badplaas)
Forever Resorts, with more than 20 leisure and corporate destinations, offers a vast variety of accommodation throughout South Africa, most of these properties are located mainly in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State and Western Cape. Forever Resorts offer business travel as well as holiday destinations as diverse as the many cultures within South Africa.
Tourism Research in Economic Environs and Society (TREES) conducted a research study on three of the Forever Resorts accommodation destinations (Warmbaths, Loskopdam and Badplaas), to establish the visitor profile of Forever Resort visitors, to determine visitor expenditure, the visitor activity and accommodation preferences, to ascertain tourist satisfaction based on the quality of service, and to determine the travel motives of visitors to the resorts. To achieve the aims, a questionnaire was developed by TREES at the North-West University in collaboration with Forever Resorts. The questionnaire measured the demographic profile, economic consideration, respondents’ satisfaction, and travel motives.
This survey was conducted from 8 to 11 December 2016 to apprehend the market’s overall satisfaction visiting the resort during the December holiday at the respective resorts. A total of 231 questionnaires were obtained during this survey (Warmbaths offered 84 questionnaires, Loskopdam 62 questionnaires and Badplaas 85 questionnaires),
An infographic video demonstrating the basic profile of visitors to the resorts, as well as their preferences and travel motives rationalises the value of this research study.
